Event Details

Ron McClung is a writer and editor, who has written hundreds of articles and devotionals, served as a ghost writer for several books, and has written a weekly newspaper column for more than thirty-seven years. He lives in Owosso, Michigan, and has two sons, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

McClure also served many years as a pastor, a district superintendent, and a church administrator. He was pastor of Owosso Wesleyan Church from 1984 to 1993, then retired and moved back to Owosso in 2020.

Where Your Treasure Is  is a work of Christian historical fiction and marks McClung's first venture into the world of fiction on a novel-length basis.  It follows the story of a young eighteenth-century man whose treasure map was stolen by thieves. He becomes obsessed with finding them or finding the treasure first. Along the way he meets a family from a plantation in Georgia, whose daughter is very attractive to him. However, the treasure has a stronger pull. His obsession takes him across the Atlantic on a dangerous voyage to England. It also brings an accusation of murder and a desperate search for a kidnap victim. Will he discover the real treasure he is seeking?

In addition, a second book will be available in time for the book signing. It is Positive Perspective: Christmas Edition, a collection of 150 Christmas-themed stories/articles previously published in The Owosso Argus-Press over the past thirty-seven years. The book is organized into several parts: “Getting Ready for Christmas,” “The Characters of Christmas,” “The True Celebration of Christmas,” “The Joy of Christmas,” and more.
